"The Crocheted Lady" is a project exploring the cycle of life, from marriage to passing, inspired by the Jewish tradition of wearing burial shrouds on one’s wedding day—symbolizing remembrance of sorrow even in moments of joy. Entirely hand-crocheted, the more rigid elements are dipped in candle wax, adding texture and depth to the narrative.
